Home Nursing

For a long time, for individuals who are physically impaired from an accident or have an illness is only left with the option to live in a nursing home. Family members were able to provide care 24 hours in some cases.

Presently, people have a different alternative of hiring home health aides to care for them at their own surroundings and at their comfort levels. Home health care is considered inexpensive to hospital care. Patient's rate of recovery is much quicker at their own home sthan other outside facilities shown in researched studies.

Generally, these home health aides do similar roles as a hospital nurse, such as giving prescribed medication, checking vital signs, change dressings, assisting with the braces or artifical limbs. Home health aides offers more intimate help that a normal nurse may not do, for instance, helphing with daily exercise, light cleaning around the house, preparing meals, do errands, and provide care for children when the parents are ill or disabled.

Certain tasks of the nursing at home includes:

Checking Vital Signs
Giving Medication
Assiting with daily exercise
Home Cleaning
Assisting with bathing, grooming and dressing
Purchasing items at grocery stores
Driving the person to and from appointments- medical or other
Preparing reports and keeping record of the patient's illness and progress
